The day after Krissy and Jared were married in Newport Beach, California, they headed to Idaho to celebrate with their friends and family at the Barber Park Event Center. The palette was pink, gold, white and navy. The flowers were done by her aunts and the apple blossoms were from Erica and Keoki’s home. The good luck rain came in the morning, clearing out for sunshine during the ceremony and reception.
The decor was incredible, the lighting was perfect, the couple looked stunning, and the day was just fabulous. The ceremony was sweet, tugging at all of our heart strings. We caught a tear in Jared’s eye as he watched his bride (in a surprise different dress) be walked down the isle by her daddy. We had zero luck spotting dry eyes in the audience. After the ceremony, we did photos and then we celebrated, island style! It could not have been more perfect!
Congrats, Krissy and Jared! We wish you all the love and luck in the world. Thanks for choosing us to photograph such a memorable day! Love you guys!

There is no doubt in my mind that Jared and Krissy are meant to be together. Jared is from SoCal, Krissy is from Idaho…. they met by chance at a baby shower while Jared was serving his church mission in Nampa, Idaho (of all places). They caught each other’s eye and wrote to each other until Jared’s mission was complete. They fell quickly and easily in love and never looked back.
Fast forward to April 13, 2016… They got married! I was lucky enough to grow up knowing Krissy. She is like my little sister. I literally have been best friends with her older sister Ashley for 20 years! So it was a no brainer to fly down there to photograph such an important day in her life.
After their wedding in the Temple, we took some fun photos with family and around the grounds, then headed to Laguna Beach for a quick little session, and then on to their SoCal reception. It was in a stunning backyard with delicious food. Jared caked Krissy after cutting the cake, the two danced in the sunset light, and then Krissy performed an incredible hula dance that she choreographed just for this special event. It was perfect, there was love all around us. It is a memory I am sure they will never forget. Thank you Krissy and Jared, the Olson family, and the Galeais for including me in such an amazing day! I love you guys!
What cowboy/cowgirl birthday party is complete without the perfect little stick horse? In planning this party we decided to combine the 2 birthdays since they are only 10 days apart. It only makes sense right? (and I could afford to go bigger … Continue reading
We thought long and hard about what we wanted our Valentine mini sessions to look like. Not too red, not too white, definitely not too “lovey”. Then we had to take into consideration coming off an amazingly awesome, too … Continue reading
Did you ever think “it would be so nice to have the photographer come to my house”? You work so hard on making that perfect nursery, and then no one gets to share it. This morning we were honored to meet Knox, his big brother and his mommy and were able to photograph the cutest little guy all relaxed and in his own element. We LOVE lifestyle sessions. Taking it slow and just enjoying each moment watching the family interact and capturing those special memories. I hope you enjoy this look into a morning with Knox.
Do we ever need an excuse to take photos of this beautiful little girl? No….but here’s a great excuse anyway, it’s her birthday. Celebrating and capturing mile stones in your life, documenting the yearly changes…why do we do this? Well in this instance we need to so we can remember how adorable that sweet little girl is and the fact that she will only turn “2”…once. In other cases maybe it’s just to capture the toothless smile, or the cutest little hair cut, or do you really need a reason? Bring on the smiles, silly faces or just the I’m in deep thought look…it doesn’t really matter just capture it!
She is 18 months old now and I am so excited…this means another photo shoot of my precious lil stinkerton. We have been planning this shoot since she was just a few weeks old. Found the swimsuit and the hat … Continue reading
I love it so much when my friends have babies! This little angel tried to make her debut super early and then changed her mind and decided she wanted to stay in her mommy’s tummy longer than she was supposed to. It’s a long story as to how I know new mommy Megan, and it’s even a little bit funny. It was a random meeting a long time ago, but I think it was one of those “everything happens for a reason” meetings. She is a kind hearted person who is already an amazing mom. Then there is Travis. This guys is awesome and compliments Megan perfectly. He is also already an amazing parent, reading to their sweet baby girl everyday. What more can I say, Megan, Travis and baby make the cutest little family and we are so happy for you guys! Here are the images from their shoot:
Baby Tai was born on Monday September 1, 2014. He came out into this world screaming and letting everyone know he had arrived.
Last week was a very special week for me. Last week, I flew down to Cali to visit my best friend, her husband, her 2 year old, and her brand new baby boy. I often think about how lucky I am to have a friend like Ashley and to be auntie Aubrey to two amazing little boys. My visit was short, but still such a great time. I ate great food, watched movies on their big comfy couch, had amazing conversations, built block castles with my buddy, and snuggled the new baby as much as possible. A short visit doesn’t get much better than that. I am feeling blessed and also so excited to share these images from my trip. Congrats Mike and Ash on your new addition! He is a cute little guy just like his big brother :). Love You!
