The day after Krissy and Jared were married in Newport Beach, California, they headed to Idaho to celebrate with their friends and family at the Barber Park Event Center. The palette was pink, gold, white and navy. The flowers were done by her aunts and the apple blossoms were from Erica and Keoki’s home. The good luck rain came in the morning, clearing out for sunshine during the ceremony and reception.
The decor was incredible, the lighting was perfect, the couple looked stunning, and the day was just fabulous. The ceremony was sweet, tugging at all of our heart strings. We caught a tear in Jared’s eye as he watched his bride (in a surprise different dress) be walked down the isle by her daddy. We had zero luck spotting dry eyes in the audience. After the ceremony, we did photos and then we celebrated, island style! It could not have been more perfect!
Congrats, Krissy and Jared! We wish you all the love and luck in the world. Thanks for choosing us to photograph such a memorable day! Love you guys!

There is no doubt in my mind that Jared and Krissy are meant to be together. Jared is from SoCal, Krissy is from Idaho…. they met by chance at a baby shower while Jared was serving his church mission in Nampa, Idaho (of all places). They caught each other’s eye and wrote to each other until Jared’s mission was complete. They fell quickly and easily in love and never looked back.
Fast forward to April 13, 2016… They got married! I was lucky enough to grow up knowing Krissy. She is like my little sister. I literally have been best friends with her older sister Ashley for 20 years! So it was a no brainer to fly down there to photograph such an important day in her life.
After their wedding in the Temple, we took some fun photos with family and around the grounds, then headed to Laguna Beach for a quick little session, and then on to their SoCal reception. It was in a stunning backyard with delicious food. Jared caked Krissy after cutting the cake, the two danced in the sunset light, and then Krissy performed an incredible hula dance that she choreographed just for this special event. It was perfect, there was love all around us. It is a memory I am sure they will never forget. Thank you Krissy and Jared, the Olson family, and the Galeais for including me in such an amazing day! I love you guys!
We thought long and hard about what we wanted our Valentine mini sessions to look like. Not too red, not too white, definitely not too “lovey”. Then we had to take into consideration coming off an amazingly awesome, too … Continue reading
I love it so much when my friends have babies! This little angel tried to make her debut super early and then changed her mind and decided she wanted to stay in her mommy’s tummy longer than she was supposed to. It’s a long story as to how I know new mommy Megan, and it’s even a little bit funny. It was a random meeting a long time ago, but I think it was one of those “everything happens for a reason” meetings. She is a kind hearted person who is already an amazing mom. Then there is Travis. This guys is awesome and compliments Megan perfectly. He is also already an amazing parent, reading to their sweet baby girl everyday. What more can I say, Megan, Travis and baby make the cutest little family and we are so happy for you guys! Here are the images from their shoot:
So every year we do family photos in the fall. Family photos are probably our longest standing tradition. As they should be right? With us being photographers and all :)Two times we have postponed our tradition to the following spring. Those two times have been when I (Aubrey) was pregnant in the fall, due the following February. February came, baby Jaycie arrived, spring sprung, and the weather became somewhat cooperative, so we headed out with my dad’s newly redone pickup to take our family photos. In years past, we set the camera timer and I would run multiple times back and forth until we got a good one. This year we drug my uncle along to take the big family picture. It was a great idea and I didn’t have to run around like crazy. He did fabulous and so did everyone else :). So here is our family shoot, documenting the Music family in 2014:
The day started out a bit chilly, a bit windy, and a forecast of “definitely going to rain”. The sky was dark and dreary (but perfect light for us photographers) and had an ominous feel to it. My young couple pulled up excited and ready for their engagement session, with their unstoppable smiles and umbrella in hand we started out on our morning adventure.
Kristen was game for anything, with her “conquer the world by storm” attitude, and Josh, well he was along for the ride. Wearing boots and the cutest little dress ever, she had the poses down like she was born to do this. Josh on the other hand, had eyes only for her. You could see he wasn’t comfortable yet with the camera on him but he was comfortable holding his beautiful fiancé’, so we played on that.
Josh, a Tech Sergeant in the Air Force, met his beautiful fiancé’ about 4 years ago at Bogus Basin as he was moving from Alaska to Utah. They became close friends and then fell in love. Kristen thinks “he is about the sweetest Prince Charming a girl could ever ask for”, and I must agree. It is always refreshing to see this much love, this much caring, and this much happiness and it really shows in their pictures. Their wedding day is July 12th of this year and we can’t wait! We are so very excited for the 2 of them and their new adventures together.
There is a chill in the air, so we thought we would warm it up with some sweet summertime sunshine photos. This wedding was so much fun and these two couldn’t be any more gorgeous.Congratulations Tawnee and Spencer! We can’t wait to see your beautiful babies one day ;)!

Downtown Nampa is the biggest surprise in the fall. It really turns into something quite beautiful. We had such a fun time with this family downtown! It has been so amazing to watch these beautiful babies grow. Devry and Dan are such good parents and this morning was so perfect for family pictures! We love you guys!!!
It was a toasty day at the end of June when we headed out to Middleton, Idaho for the most beautiful backyard wedding. It was the wedding of my good friend Jenny to the “boy next door”… literally, he lived across the alley from her when they met. It;s an awesome love story… one that belongs in an 80’s movie for sure. I was so excited that she chose us to capture this very special day. Jenny is a beautiful person inside and out, but on her wedding day she was absolutely stunning…and Zach didn’t look too shabby either. From their personal vows to the toasts to the wild dancing, this wedding had the perfect amount of beauty, heart, and some serious fun! Congrats Jenny and Zach! We loved being a part of your day!
