Krissy & Jared{Barber Park Idaho Wedding} by Footsteps Photography

The day after Krissy and Jared were married in Newport Beach, California, they headed to Idaho to celebrate with their friends and family at the Barber Park Event Center. The palette was pink, gold, white and navy. The flowers were done by her aunts and the apple blossoms were from Erica and Keoki’s home. The good luck rain came in the morning, clearing out for sunshine during the ceremony and reception.

The decor was incredible, the lighting was perfect, the couple looked stunning, and the day was just fabulous. The ceremony was sweet, tugging at all of our heart strings. We caught a tear in Jared’s eye as he watched his bride (in a surprise different dress) be walked down the isle by her daddy. We had zero luck spotting dry eyes in the audience. After the ceremony, we did photos and then we celebrated, island style! It could not have been more perfect!

Congrats, Krissy and Jared! We wish you all the love and luck in the world. Thanks for choosing us to photograph such a memorable day! Love you guys!

Krissy & Jared say “I Do” {Newport Beach LDS Temple, Newport Beach California} by Footsteps Photography of Boise, Idaho

There is no doubt in my mind that Jared and Krissy are meant to be together. Jared is from SoCal, Krissy is from Idaho…. they met by chance at a baby shower while Jared was serving his church mission in Nampa, Idaho (of all places). They caught each other’s eye and wrote to each other until Jared’s mission was complete. They fell quickly and easily in love and never looked back.

Fast forward to April 13, 2016… They got married! I was lucky enough to grow up knowing Krissy. She is like my little sister. I literally have been best friends with her older sister Ashley for 20 years! So it was a no brainer to fly down there to photograph such an important day in her life.

After their wedding in the Temple, we took some fun photos with family and around the grounds, then headed to Laguna Beach for a quick little session, and then on to their SoCal reception. It was in a stunning backyard with delicious food. Jared caked Krissy after cutting the cake, the two danced in the sunset light, and then Krissy performed an incredible hula dance that she choreographed just for this special event. It was perfect, there was love all around us. It is a memory I am sure they will never forget. Thank you Krissy and Jared, the Olson family, and the Galeais for including me in such an amazing day! I love you guys!

Kenny & Samantha married in McCall! {by Footsteps Photography- McCall, ID wedding photographers}

We drove the winding road enjoying the beautiful scenery of this great state as we headed to a wedding up at Bear Creek Lodge (a great place to get married!). It was the wedding of the beautiful Samantha to her sweetheart Kenny. It was a rustic paradise when we arrived. Samantha put her heart and soul into decorating (with the building and painting help of Kenny) for this amazing day and it showed. Every little detail was perfect!

To start the pictures, we all climbed into a shuttle and headed to the beautiful town of McCall, Idaho. We stopped to do some at the lake, including the “first look” out on the dock. Bridal party pictures went great!

One thing that we found so special is that this was our very first “unplugged” wedding, meaning that we were the only ones taking photos during the ceremony. The bride and groom asked before the ceremony that all the guests just sit and enjoy the ceremony. They asked all texting, checking in on FB, and camera phone photography to come to a halt, so this intimate moment in the mountains could be fully enjoyed by them and their guests. It made for a beautiful and engaging ceremony that was  a true joy to photograph.

After the ceremony came the amazing food, dancing, and fun! This wedding was so much FUN all around! We are so happy for Kenny and Samantha! Their love for each other is evident, and they have a great supportive family surrounding their love and their little family of their own.

We are so blessed to work with wonderful couples and this couple was no different. Kenny and Sam, we wish you all the love and happiness this world has to offer!!!
